Modern Signs LLC is a full service sign company with locations in Mobile, AL and Orange Beach, AL that manufactures, installs, and services signs for a variety of clients on a local and regional basis. The original Modern Sign Company, Inc. was founded in 1963
by our mentor Dick Armstrong who still enjoyed his art of bending neon for us until his passing in 2011. Now in our third generation of sign crafters it is a love of the art of signs that drives us all to be the best. Our recent purchase of state of the art manufacturing equipment and design software gives us the tools to continue our legacy of being the best. It’s all in the design… that’s what sets us apart.
Our award winning design team led by renowned artists Nancy Gilliland and Rick Armstrong have created innovative signs for many years and you will be assured that they will create an effective signage solution for you. Both Nancy and Rick are true vintage sign artist that have a love for signs and began hand lettering signs over 40 years ago before computers revolutionized our industry. They still enjoy hand lettering signs to this day.
As our industry has evolved so have we. We are constantly improving our product line with the latest trends and cutting edge technology in signs including LED Electronic Message Centers which is a large part of our business. 
As an authorized dealer for the leading brands of LED signs for outdoor and indoor applications, our factory trained installers and service technicians have the experience required to install and maintain your LED sign. We also have in house technicians to set up and train our clients on software and content usage for these signs.
